For a little while now I know I’ve mentioned that there would be a podcast here in the works very soon, and then not long ago I mentioned that we did, in fact, record one. To be precise, we recorded one a week ago, but the editing process took longer than initially expected (which is understandable for a first effort). All of this stuff is a learning process, at least for me, and so there are bound to be hiccups and slowness from time to time.
Still, on January 12, 2012 Warren Bennett and myself sat down to record our first podcast together. This podcast, entitled “Beyond the Screen,” is meant to be a crossover between Allahweh’s Domain and My Dead Heroes. The podcast isn’t limited just to gaming, but instead is meant to be more of a “general geekdom” podcast. This means that while we certainly will talk about video games, we will also discuss books, movies, table-top role-playing, collectibles, and a plethora of other topics. We also might feature a few guests from time to time, or even perhaps do round-tables with some of our readers/listeners.
This first podcast, “BTS 01-01: Venturing Beyond the Screen,” has Warren and me introducing ourselves, talking about some of the latest news (including the Fallout MMO issues and Diablo III), a lengthy conversation on “Star Wars: The Old Republic,” and a few other miscellaneous topics.
You can find a link to the podcast on the new “Podcast Archive” page here on the site, or alternatively you can download it directly from my online storage account.
NOTE: The previous download link had issues, so the file was re-uploaded to my personal storage account.
