Yeah, I think that’s the only thing to do – I just removed him from all of my contact lists and blocked him so that he can’t contact me again. That also gives me the peace of mind to know that he can’t continue being an asshole, at least to me.

Now, I feel like a noob asking this, but what does “\m/” mean?

Yes, I was kind of surprised that “G” eventually apologized for how irrational he was acting, largely over a video game too. He was removed from the guild and still went through all that stuff just to be creepy and everything, but then a year and a half later he contacts me to apologize for his actions.

Anyway, I’m glad you liked the article and it is always heartening to hear that people would prefer I keep writing and gaming as opposed to just quitting altogether.

Seriously, that is a fair bit of crap. The Internet lets people connect that would not otherwise have the opportunity, but it also removes all of the triggers that would tell others to avoid this person that we’d normally see in person.

I mean, really, how do I explain people talking to me?

You’re doing the right thing, I think. Don’t let the bad seeds spoil everything for you – block ‘em and keep moving on with the people you think are cool. \m/

Fantastic article, but sorry you had to go through that kind of nastiness. Unfortunately, as you point out there will always be a tiny percentage of dickheads in this world – since it’s inevitable, never give up writing and shooting vids on their behalf. The misery you’d cause yourself and your followers by discontinuing everything would be way worse than the misery any pathetic weirdo can cause.

That surprised me somewhat! Someone who’s so irrational as to act like that in the first place usually doesn’t have the wherewithal to apologize after the fact. How odd.

Yeah, I don’t understand the types of things these people fixate on. In your case, I mean, it just seems like people who you didn’t know were just being dicks. I don’t see what good that would have done anyone. It’s stupid to me. I get tired of crap like that too, but at least that kind of stuff you can largely just ignore.

This creepy guy and the others like him – I just wish people weren’t so dense and could just get a clue. Part of me wishes I knew why they acted like this, but another part of me is glad that I don’t.

i’ve had before people who would not freaking leave me the hell alone on IRC (and at one time there was a website that essentially picked apart and made fun of people who were involved in emulation related websites, which I once was…that got old quick having most of what I say taken out of context and ridiculed by strangers on the Internet), but thank god nothing on the level you’ve experienced with the general creepiness. It’s certainly a problem, this kind of thing. I don’t get why people have a problem understanding that at times….all they’d need to do is put themselves in your shoes. How would they feel?

Anyway, glad you aren’t letting these creeps get the better of you. I personally like what you do and it’d be a shame for it to end (a shame though perhaps understandable given this guy -_-).

LandStalker technically was a Climax game, but yes, I see what you mean. What I meant was, LandStalker is part of its own Retro Play series, but not part of The Retro Play Show. Basically, I consider it a related content, but a sub-series I guess!
